Birch oil, how and why I use it!

What is Birch Oil?

Not surprisingly, Birch essential oil comes from the bark of birch trees. The scientific name is Betula Lenta and sometimes the oil is referred to as Sweet Birch Oil.
Pure, unadulterated birch oil, while not rare, can be difficult to find. That said, it is not an expensive oil relatively speaking. What makes it special is that 100% pure Birch essential oil contains both salicylic acid and methyl salicylate. Both have a cortisone-like quality that reduces discomfort in the muscles, bones, and joints and in addition, are recognized as germicides and bactericides in the world of medicine.
Whereas Birch essential oil is an effective anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, disinfectant, astringent, and diuretic, it really shines in its use to combat muscle and joint pain. Bar none, Birch is the oil you want to use to relieve the pain of arthritis, tendonitis, gout, and severe muscle cramping.
I used Birch oil for the pain and swelling in my neck, I use it neat, I would suggest that you try a small amount first just to make sure there is no reaction/irritation on the skin, If you experience a small reaction you will need to put in a carrier oil. If you have any other type of reaction you will want to find another oil to use.

Please read the cautions:
Birch essential oil is a strong oil and if used undiluted, may cause irritation. In addition, Birch should be avoided by those who use blood thinners, have epilepsy, or women who may be pregnant.

Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning where did It come from?

It came from Cleaning up from Winter!

Messy homes, cars or offices are common issues today with our busy lives.

Feeling stressed out or overwhelmed? Want to clear your mind? Start with your surroundings! Objects compete for your brain’s attention, so clear the clutter for clarity!

Our energy is real, and when we take the time to clean out what is around us, we clean out the mental and emotional clutter as well. We create clarity for being all that we are meant to be on this planet, and it starts with our surroundings.

Give it a try. Start with the easy stuff, a little at a time, and notice how your life changes from this simple (and sometimes difficult) task.

 You are worth it!

We all probably have more than we need. Why not learn to let it go and lift others at the same time? This month, set an empty box in a conspicuous place. Every day, place one thing you no longer need inside. At the end of the month, donate the box to a local shelter or charity. Your home will be lighter, but your heart will be full and your mind will be more clear.

Now that you have done that, clear the clutter from your kitchen check herbs are they the right color and do they smell right? How about your tinctures, I know they last a long time, but still check the bottles, clean the lids… if any don’t look right, or smell right toss them. Do the same with salves, and oils.. make a list of what needs to be made for the upcoming year!  Spring into action !!

Don’t forget the herb garden, flower garden, clean them out, put in new plants..  ones you discovered you used.

Doesn’t that feel good? Clearing up, Clarity, getting rid of the things that don’t serve you anymore.

Inspire yourself, praise yourself, no negative self talk, be kind to yourself.

One last thing to do, as you clean out, clear out, Smudge your home, yourself… create your sacred space. Enjoy!!!!

Essiac Tea History

The History of Essiac Tea

Essiac Tea is said to have been an Ancient recipe made by the Ojibwa Tribes of Native America who live in the areas of Canada and Northern United States of America.  Essiac Tea was referred to as “Ojibwa Tea of Life”.

The story I have heard about Nurse Caisse and Essiac Tea, is that she aided the Ojibwa Tribe, they all became friends and she helped with their illnesses.   She also saw the remarkable things that the “Tea of Life” did.  The Ojibwa Tribe shared this with her, and the recipe of “Tea of Life”.  Rene Caisse brought it to her patients that were suffering from various types of cancer. This tea is now called Essiac Tea, (Essiac is “Caisse” spelled backwards).

Nurse Caisse began to see wonderful results with her patient and she wanted to help more people.   She wanted to make the “Tea of Life” more accessible to everyone.  She had a vision to make the tea available to as big an audience as she could.

In 1920 she began to work with Dr. Charles Brusch.   They wanted to formulate an herbal product that could be tested in a laboratory study  (think clinical research).  Dr. Brusch and Caisse began to promote Essiac Tea as an effective and affordable cancer treatment. Well, all this promotion caught the attention of the medical population as well as the mainstream population… The medical profession didn’t like that they were offering this alternative to standard cancer treatments, so rumors started to circulate about health risks, and what MIGHT happen if you consumed Essiac Tea. The medical community put pressure on the Federal Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA did not approve Essiac Tea as a cancer treatment.  In fact, as of today they have not recognized Essiac Tea and they do not recognize it as safe.  This did not stop Dr. Brusch and Caisse; they continued to help people and had thousands of testimonials of how Essiac tea helped them. This is amazing because in 1938 there was only mail, no internet.

Nurse Caisse was a modest person and took no money for Essiac tea formula; she was all about the help. Please check out, do your own research to see if this tea will help you. I do have a few cautions:   if you are pregnant … wait to try this tea.  Please do your research.

I will post my story about Essiac tea.. what it has done for me. This is my opinion…

Negative Energy

Negative Energy we all have felt it, maybe in a store, at work, school or just in a public place. Do you shutter, get a headache, or just feel it? I have heard people call it Negative Nancy or Debbie Downer! Now that I said it , you are thinking “Oh yes” I have heard that! The how doesn’t matter, what you do with it … is what matters.

Melody and I were holding a yard sale for a dear friend… and a lady walked in …. instantly we could feel the negative energy, the closer she got to me the worse it got. Oh my, she was angry, upset, negative… it just poured out of her. All we could think of was buy what you want and leave, or just go…. She purchased a few items, and out the door she went… PHEW!!! We both thought and said we need to get rid of this energy… Where is the aura spray? Melody had some Heart Chakra spray… yep you guessed it, we used that!! We both felt so much better, we could feel the energy returning to positive, uplifting, light and love. Now that the lady had left, we did send her positive energy and light and love.. wished her a better day.
Here are a few things you can do … when you encounter negative energy.
1) Shower, water always removes energy.
2) Use a white light shower, and send the energy to Mother Earth to transmute it into light and love.
3) Aura Spray, to remove the negative energy, and send it to Mother Earth to transmute it into light and love.
4) Ask Archangel Michael to remove the negative energy, and send it to Mother Earth to transmute it into light and love.

Next week we will be introducing a new product…. Clearing!!!  This will be an aura spray, to help with just this occasion.

I hope this helps you.. if you want to check out Aura Sprays go to http://eaglesmoonhealing.com/product-category/aurasprays/

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is one of the most popular and important holy days in the liturgical calendar.

Ash Wednesday opens Lent, a season of fasting and prayer.

Ash Wednesday takes place 46 days before Easter Sunday, and is chiefly observed by Catholics, although many other Christians observe it too.
Ash Wednesday comes from the ancient Jewish tradition of penance and fasting. The practice includes the wearing of ashes on the head. The ashes symbolize the dust from which God made us. As the priest applies the ashes to a person’s forehead, he speaks the words: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Alternatively, the priest may speak the words, “Repent and believe in the Gospel.”
Ashes also symbolize grief, in this case, grief that we have sinned and caused division from God.
Writings from the Second-century Church refer to the wearing of ashes as a sign of penance.
Priests administer ashes during Mass and all are invited to accept the ashes as a visible symbol of penance. Even non-Christians and the excommunicated are welcome to receive the ashes. The ashes are made from blessed palm branches, taken from the previous year’s palm Sunday Mass.

Spiritually, I view it as a reminder from God or the Divine about being a Soul on this earth living a physical life.  We are all here to learn life’s lessons as they are presented to us and go about fulfilling our life purpose.  This period of Ash Wednesday through Easter is a tine for reflection,  prayer and meditation.  Are you learning the lessons that life presents to you?  Do you seem to have situations where you’re presented with the same basic situations over and over again?  What choices could you make differently?

We all have a limited time on this planet.  Let us make the best choices we can and lead with our hearts and not our heads.  I believe that “ashes to ashes, dust to dust” refers to our physical bodies.  When the body gives out, our Souls will all be welcomed back by God!
