Hoyt’s German Cologne

On Sunday I was a vendor at a grand opening, Chicks with Spiritual Gifts. I met so many wonderful people, one person made my day. Funny how these things happen. One of the new products I brought was Hoyt’s German Cologne. This was its debut!! Most of the people there didn’t even give it a second look if you do a little Hoodoo you might be in the market for some. However, one lady there picked it up and gave is a sniff… She was thrilled, said she was transported 50 years to her youth when Hoyt’s cologne was popular and used. She bought the bottle so she could smell that familiar scent. She has no idea how thrilled I was, that it smelled like the original Hoyt’s. That’s what I wanted it to smell like, and it does!!!! That is a keeper, I will never buy my Hoyt’s Cologne I will always make it… Someone once asked me why I would bother making it when you can purchase it at the store, here is the answer!! I love what I do! Thank you, Terri, for encouraging me to explore all my gifts! Of course, I couldn’t do this without the support of my Dear Darling Husband.

New Moon Manifesting Ceremony

New Moon~ in Libra

The new moon brings in renewal, fresh starts, and new adventures! This is the time to start something new; this new moon will bring wealth, honor and success. This is a rare opportunity you will need to open minded, flexible, and take opportunities as they present themselves, you will need to be diligent and use divination as what you need to do, and there will be many distractions.  You will be able to overcome these distractions by using your tools to check your path, use any divination method that you are comfortable with, cards, dowsing, meditation, channeling, and there are so many more.

What do you want to change in this new moon? It is a personal experience, so do you want success, or wealth?

Our New Moon Ceremony will help you to manifest what you would to have in your life.  New Moon is the Manifesting Moon. This manifestation lasts about 28 days, so it is good to renew it, and don’t forget you can update it!!

Join us for our Manifesting Ceremony, October 19, 2017 Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Check it out on Meetup.

Full Moon on October 5, 2017

Harvest Moon / Hunter’s Moon / Dying Grass Moon

October 5, 2017

October’s Moon rises just after sunset and sets around sunrise, so this is the only night in the month when the Moon is in the sky all night long. This moon is the Harvest Moon this year; normally it is in September this year According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the name of the full moon in October is usually “Hunter’s Moon,” as October is when people would hunt to store food for winter. However, this year is a bit out of the ordinary, and we’ll have a Harvest Moon instead.   The Harvest Moon is defined as the full moon that falls closest to the autumn equinox, which happened on Sept. 22. Usually September’s full moon is called the Harvest Moon, but this year, it just so happened that October’s full moon is closer to the equinox.

Some Native American tribes referred to October’s Moon as the Full Hunter’s Moon, as it was the time to go hunting in preparation for winter. This full Moon is also called the “Travel Moon” and the “Dying Grass Moon.”

The full moon of October also marks an important holiday for Jewish people: Sukkot, the 15th day of the month of Tishrei. The holiday is also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, and is a celebration of the harvest and the exodus from Egypt.

Full Moon is the time to release, Eagle’s Moon Healing will be having a Full Moon Fire Ceremony.. Full Moon – Corn Moon

Corn Moon!!

As is true of all Full Moons, we are being challenged to find a balance between the qualities of the two signs involved. This Full Moon has us dealing with the qualities of Virgo and Pisces. Virgo is an earth sign with keywords such as practical, analytic, organized, humble, and physical health. Pisces is a water sign associated with compassion, emotions, intuition, and our psychological health. However, Full Moon’s often bring out the shadow or lower expressions of the signs, such as perfectionism and criticalness for Virgo and dependency and victimization for Pisces.

So, starting around the 5th of September, a calmer, more peaceful energy will take over. This shift in focus from Leo energy to Virgo energy will be present for the entire month of September. As we all know, during the last two months, we have all been under the strong influence of a lot of dramatic Leo energy, including the Eclipse season in August. The powerful, fiery Leo energy that has been swirling around us (and sometimes within us) has been draining and oftentimes confusing. A dose of Piscean compassion will go a long way toward healing, but so, too, will be a shift toward getting down to work.

Often, the September Moon is also called the Harvest Moon, but this year the Harvest Moon occurs in October. The Harvest Moon is the Moon that falls nearest the autumnal equinox; this full Moon provides the most light at the time when it’s needed most—to complete the harvest!

Some other facts about this Moon;

The September full Moon is usually known as the Full Corn Moon because it traditionally corresponds with the time of harvesting corn. It is also called the Barley Moon because this is the time to harvest and thresh ripened barley.

Some other traditional September Full Moon names used by Native Americans include:

  • Moon When the Plums Are Scarlet” by the Lakota Sioux Native Americans.
  • Moon When the Deer Paw the Earth” by the Omaha Native Americans.
  • Moon When the Calves Grow Hair” by the Sioux Native Americans

Don’t forget to put your crystals and stones out in the Moonlight to recharge them!! Now is the time to get back to work! Full Moon is time to release, write your petition about anything and everything you wish to release, then burn it in the Full Moon.  As soon as it cools down in the evening we will start Full Moon Releasing Ceremonies at Eagle’s Moon Healing… check back for the announcement of the start date. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
